Night and day difference from my first purchase. I had originally purchased a torch from Lowes just over a year ago and had some issues right out the box. The trigger was very hard to pull and lighting was inconsistent, but it worked. Recently it was a pita to light and noticed the valve regulator was not working correctly. Contacted customer support and Mike and Ray helped me troubleshoot. We werent able to fix the issue. The solution was a replacement. After testing the new unit, it was definitely made clear that my first one was defective. The trigger on the new one was much smoother and didnt take any effort to pull. Also starts instantly on the first try. Even the actual color of the flame burns a bright blue compared to my previous one where it had more orange to it.
Best quality and design. Looks more like a precisely engineered apparatus. Never like those Chinese cheap fabrications.

So far I’m pleased with it, only had it for a day or two and used it once.
Received as an asked for gift to replace my always reliable, regardless of outside temperature, Benzomatic torch. Great design and love the longer reach, but it simply will NOT consistently light in colder outdoor temperatures. I keep my torch in a drawer in my outdoor kitchen for convenience of use, but the RocketFire will not ignite if outside temp is 50's or below and I live in Alabama. Just doesn't make sense to have to keep something indoors to light my outdoor BGE.
Hello Steve. The RocketFire itself is not the issue being cold. Your propane/fuel must be at least 60°F. The RocketFire's regulator is more complicated than normal torches.

This thing is a total game changer. Used the BGE butane starter for awhile but eventually the end of the starter wore out. Switched to starter cubes for the last few years. Decided to get this as I wanted to try something else. It's so fun and literally takes less than 1 minute to ignite enough of the coals for a good start. Leave the lid open for 10 minutes, then shut the lid, and a few minutes later Green Egg is at 400*.
This is an excellent torch. I have tried other brands that failed for one reason or another. This has been a far superior experience. It is simple to use and well built.

I've been using my Kamado Joe Classic for 3 years and the only issue I had with the smoking was getting the temperature up to cooking temp. This unit eliminates that issue. I've used it twice since I purchased it and will use my smoker even more than before now that I can start the cook way sooner than before. The product itself is easy to use and works as advertised.

Very hard to handle bulky. Haven't used yet on starting wood fire yet. price was a little high but great quality all from SS material. I will test it out more looking forward to use it for preheating parts for weldind as well.

I’d like to make two points.
The first torch I received did not work. (Per responder Mr. Berard) I likely had some sort of clog either from manufacturing process or dirty propane. I left a message per the contact page late (1730) Friday evening and did not expect a response until Monday. I WAS contacted later that same evening. The issue or potential issue was explained and that a new torch was on its way.

I also would highly recommend for any fire enthusiast (starting fire for BBQ or fire places etc…. NOT firebugs). This torch is awesome!! I am an avid bbq nut and also have an outdoor fire place. You want a pit or fire place or smoke tubes ANYTHING on fire now. This the tool. Focused hot flame where ever it is pointed. I am guessing this is a relatively small business.
